I hold a five years degree (Licenciate) and a Master Degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC). I am a senior Lecturer at the Software Department (Departament de Llenguatges i Sistemes Informàtics, LSI) and a Ph.D. candidate in the Artificial Intelligence program. Between 1995 and 2003 I have taught as an Adjunct Lecturer at the same department. I have also been involved in business intelligence software development as a data mining analyst/researcher and in data analysis consulting.

I develop my research in the area of Machine Learning, focused on the field of inductive learning and its applications. My Ph.D. advisor is J. Béjar.
