Conference Location

The RANDOM '98 workshop will be held in the conference facilities of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. The workshop will be held in the Aula Master in the A3 building of the Campus Nord.

How to get to the Campus Nord:

Bus: Lines 33, 54, 75 and 60 stop just behind the campus.
Lines 7, 33, 67, 68 and 74 stop at the Diagonal (big avenue), from there, walk up the street you find on the left side of the Gardens of the Palau Reial (to the mountain side).
Underground: Take the Line 3 until "Palau Reial" station. From there, walk up the street you find on the left side of the Gardens of the Palau Reial (to the mountain side).

From the airport to downtown

Participants coming to Barcelona by plane can take a taxi, the bus shuttle or the train shuttle to go from the airport to the city:

Taxi: Going from the airport to the center of the city by taxi should cost 2500 to 3000 Ptas (15 to 18 Euros!), depending on traffic conditions.
Bus: There are bus shuttles leaving every 30 minutes from the airport to Plaça Catalunya. From there you may connect with the subway at "Catalunya" (Lines 1 and 3) station.
Train: There is also a train shuttle leaving every 30 minutes from the airport to "Sants-Estacio" railway station. There you may get the subway (Lines 1 and 3) without leaving the railway station. You can also go until "Catalunya" station, where you can also get the subway (Lines 1 and 3).

If you are coming by train, follow the directions above if your train ends at "Sants" or "Catalunya" station. If your train ends at "Estacio de França" then you may take the subway (Line 4) near there.
