WORKSHOP LOCATION

Canary
Islands are a group of seven islands and six rocky islands situated 115 kms
at the north of the Tropic of Cancer and in front of Sahara. It has similar
characteristics than another atlantic arhcipelagos as Azores, Madeira and
Cabo Verdes and they all together are called the Macaronesia.
There must be a thousand ways to enjoy the sea and on the Canaries you will
find each and every one of them. Blue, crystal-clear and full of life, the
waters around the islands remain at a temperature of between 18 and 23 degrees
Celsius throughout the year so that they are perfect at any time.
Following the islands’ coastline, you will come
across incredible landscapes rising out of the sea: volcanic bays with brilliant
black volcanic sand, gigantic cliffs, mysterious rocks, peaceful beaches,
endless expanses of dunes, grottos and natural swimming pools.
But many people simply prefer the pleasure of getting a tan beside the sea
on any of the island’s magnificent beaches. Leisure activities for all ages
are also very varied in the main bathing areas, where you can easily hire
pedalos, floating tricycles or take a parascending flight, so as to get
a better view of the coast from the sea.
Gran
Canaria is certainly one of the most important European paradise isles.
Its touristic slogan: "A continent in miniature" corresponds with its offer
of lush forests, exotic fauna and flora, Sahara like dunes, mountains, volcanic
craters.
Las Palmas de Gran Canaria
is the most dynamic capital city in the Canaries with incredible beautiful
coastlines and spectacular beaches. This alife and modern city is plenty
of history and it was the most important stop for ships of Christopher Columbus
before the America's discovery.

The island, a real continent in miniature, will
enthral you with its long golden beaches, its endless dunes of white sand
and its stupendously green ravines; with picturesque villages and historical
quarters that will transport you to former times; as well as cities of
charm and excitement, where you will live every moment in just the way
you always imagined.
Gran Canaria, with friendly people and deep-rooted traditions, is also
an island that looks to the future in art and culture, with its auditoria,
theatres and exhibition halls holding regular festivals and displaying
creations by artists of international prestige.

In the northwest of Gran Canaria there is an
small village called
Agaete.
Its landscapes are a perfect combination of contrast and loveliness.
The small beach and the seaworthy port. The countryside with the fruitful
and beautiful "Valle de Agaete".
Agaete is the perfect start point to get a hike through the oldest roads
of the islands wich will permit us to visit the Roque Nublo or another
important places in the countryside.
