Accomodation

There is a range of regional commercial accommodation located in close proximity to the University and also downtown, and attendants might benefit from travel and accomodation packages offered at discounted rates by large tour operators. The Barcelona Hotel Association is a good starting point for a hotel search.

We have made a selection of three hotels close to the conference site and two hotels downtown at discounted rates. Rates are quoted per room and day, and do not include 7% VAT. Single room is a double room for single use in these hotels.

Alternatively, there is a university residence, called Torre Girona, located within walking distance from both the conference site and an underground station. Intended for visiting professors and researchers, this residence offers 40 rooms for long-term residents and 70 rooms for short-term visitors, all fullly equipped with bathroom, air conditioning and heating, telephone, and free Internet access. We have pre-booked 18 single rooms at Torre Girona for the conference dates. Prices are quoted per room and day, and include 7% VAT.

Reservation must be done by sending the booking forms for each hotel or residence, since this is the mechanism to identify conference participants and apply the discounted rates. Please fill in the attached booking form and send it by fax to the contact mentioned in the booking form.
