Welcome
This is our fourth issue and each one we have been introducing some novelties.
Here you have the issue three of our Newsletter.
There are some novelties in this issue. For example, Professor Alfredo Vellido has dared to propose us some ideas. We encourage you to follow his steps. We have no inconvenient in listening to your ideas and hearing news ways of researching or communicating. We do not know with what else Alfredo Vellido will come out for next issues. At the moment, he has reminded us to "Mind the Gap!" We hope that some of you get encouraged as well to use this Newsletter to inform and contribute your points of view. After all, that is the newsletter +LSI. Is there a better place to communicate what we are interested in?
The rest of the Newsletter explores different dimensions of the research done inside different research groups from our Department.
Once more, we prove that computing is able to be connected with other disciplines. Melvyn Slater shows us through many projects how reality is more virtual than it seems and how virtual reality needs from our collaboration to be more real. An incredible crossing of disciplines that make us questioning even about what "touching" is.
Miquel Sanchez announces the preparation of the new Congress on the crossing of environment and artificial Intelligence and he reminds us the deep motivations that exist behind this interdisciplinary work. New times of "Green" are coming!
Steve Willmott tells us how to get to settle a new company, 3scale Networks, from his research of autonomous agents.
In this issue, Esteve Almirall shows us a new model of transference of technology... if you can call "transference" to do innovation and research with citizens.
All together, many points of view about same topics and different ways of working.
Enjoy it!
