My presentation very briefly describes my earlier PhD works giving also some hints 
of the on going researches at UPC. Among earlier works firstly I present the AMS 
experiment focused on the search for antimatter in near space orbit. Secondly 
I report about some studies connecting geophiscal phenomena with Van Allen belts 
stability.Therefore I describe the research done in statistical learning and in 
particular in transduction showing also some practical applications. Finally as 
a part of the ongoing research I introduce some ideas about generalization in 
reinforcement learnig using support vector machine.
