PLN-PMT course (QT-2007/08): presentation of practical works

Basic information
=================

* Meeting is at room Omega-S205 at 10:55 am.

* maximum 1h per presentation (maximum 50' for exposition and
  minimum 10' for questions and discussion).

* All members of the team have to orally present a part of the
  work. Try to split the time evenly.
 
* You can choose the language of presentation: Catalan, Spanish, or
  English.

* You can choose the style of the presentation, but we recommend to
  use slides.

* A suggested outline is:
  - Introduction to the problem: motivation / definition / goals / setting 
  - Description of the implemented strategies/algorithms/systems
  - Description of the evaluation/experimental setting
  - Evaluation and results
  - Discussion
  - Conclusions 

* Each member of a team must prepare a question regarding the
  work presented by the other team.

* A copy of the slides (or any other electronic/written materials
  used in the presentation) will be required. Send them by email
  to the advisors of the course, ideally >24h previous to the
  session. If you cannot send the materials on time then you
  should bring paper copies to the room for the attendants.

* You don't have to prepare any other complementary documentation.

* The aspects subject to evaluation will be:
  - the contents and quality of the work presented (40% of the
    final score)
  - the oral presentation and the skills showed by the student in
    the discussion about the presented materials. (20% of the
    final score)
