There are a few things I am currently working on, in collaboration with some enthusiastic colleagues and students:

• The application of nonlinear dimensionality reduction and other approaches to practical problems in medical decision support (supporting the expert diagnosis of brain tumours on the basis of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy - MRS- data, in collaboration with GABRMN at UAB and as part of CIBER-BBN). See also work by former PhD students Sandra Ortega and Albert Vilamala (including the application of NMF methods to multi-voxel MRSI data).
• Computational Intelligence methods in Pharmaco-proteomics, in collaboration with Dr. Jesús Giraldo's Laboratory of Molecular Neuropharmacology and Bioinformatics.
